Vir die deeg, maal 3 eiergele met 0,5 koppies suiker, voeg saggemaakte botter, suurroom, sout, koeldrank en 2 koppies meel by (die deeg moet nie aan u hande kleef nie). Sit die deeg opsy (jy kan dit in die yskas sit) en berei die vulsel voor. Skil die appels en sny dit in halfronde skywe. Maal maaskaas met 1/3 koppie suiker en 1 eiergeel. Nou haal ons die deeg uit, rol dit uit tot 'n dikte van 1-2 cm (soos u wil), sit dit op 'n vel, smeer die maaskaas bo-oor, sit appels op die maaskaas en strooi kaneel oor. Sit 30-40 minute in die oond op medium hitte. Gedurende hierdie tyd, klop 4 eekhorings met 2 koppies suiker. Ons haal die amper klaar koek uit, vul dit met geklopte meringue en sit dit terug in die oond tot dit gaar is.
